When Visualizing A Better Golf Swing

Many golfers call their golf clubs cursing sticks because they do not have a very good swing. Those with a good swing will be able to hit their balls straight and get to the hole with as little trouble as possible. What many do not realize is that there are a few different fundamentals which will help in making sure that they have the ultimate swing. Keeping these things in mind every time you address the ball will help in making sure that you will be able to hit a long and straight shot.

In actuality, there are two main things that you will need to keep in mind whenever you are swinging the club. The first thing that you will need to keep in mind is that you will need to make sure that you are addressing the ball correctly without making any corrections for a slice or a draw. You will also need to choose a point which is not the hole to aim at. As long as you follow these guidelines, you will be able to have a great swing which will help you to be able to get everything that you need out of your game.

Addressing the Ball

As you step up to the ball, you will need to make sure that the toes of your feet are in a straight line to your target. This is important because without doing this, you will not be able to hit the ball straight. You will be tempted to come across the ball or to push the ball whenever you are not lined up correctly so that you will be able to try and get the ball where you want it to go. This is something which can be corrected on the driving range.

Try setting a golf club right on the path towards the target so that you will be able to get the feeling of how you need to stand while you are lining up your shot. This will eliminate the awkward feeling of having your target directly to your side rather than having it in front of you.

Lining up Your Swing

Before you step up to the ball, it is important to line up your shot. This is possible by taking a look at the line that you want to hit the ball in. You will then be able to pick a point about a foot in front of your ball that you can aim for. This will take the actual target out of the equation.

By simply making sure that you are aiming for the spot in front of your ball, you are not trying to hit the ball, you are only focused on swinging towards that point. This will help in making sure that you will be able to hit the ball straight and true without any worry about a slice or a draw. This will shave strokes off of your game instantly.
