Miniature Golf Courses
Mini golf has been around since the late 1800's and even has acquired it's own sports federation. Mini golf is based on original golf but has smaller courses with odd designs. It's known by many names such as putt-putt or mini putt, although the federation prefers the term minigolf.
Modern courses have advanced the features of mini golf to include various obstacles that mini golfers must get their ball either around or through in order to reach the hole. Obstacles include funny animals with holes in their mouth or windmills that provide a challenge that requires timing and patience to get past. The rainbow selection of golf balls ranging from hot pink to bright blue add to the simplistic fun of mini golf. Courses also usually have either little ponds of miniature waterfalls throughout the course which are very pretty but many golf balls have been lost there.
One of the great things about mini golf courses is that most have other businesses with it such as ice cream parlors or food shops. While food is not generally allowed on the courses themselves, it's a treat for mini golfers to be able to have a full outing of entertainment and food.
